HP?s Envy 13 series belongs to a special line of premium notebooks. These notebooks are unique in design and feature many of today?s latest technological innovations. The Envy 13 series is an ultra-portable laptop that is suitable for consumers require a light and thin computing solution.
Envy laptops are precision crafted. They are made out of pure-grade aluminum and magnesium alloy. This provides for a beautifully uniform and sturdy design. It also helps with reducing the weight of the system. Shoppers can opt to build their own Envy 13 laptops or purchase a prebuilt, ready-to-ship model. Customization is done on HP?s website. The Envy 13 series features 13.1" displays. These displays support high-definition content. Shoppers can upgrade their displays to higher resolutions with "Radiance" HD displays. Envy 13 laptops are powered by Intel?s Core 2 Duo processors. They?re a special type of Core 2 Duo processors with ultra-low voltage. These processors have lower heat signatures and they help extend battery life. Battery life can go up to 6.5 hours on a 6-cell battery. A couple of memory configurations are available. The base model starts off with 3GB DDR3 memory. Consumers can upgrade to 5GB DDR3 memory. The system only has 1 Dimm slot for memory installation. Two hard drive options are available. Either a 250GB HDD or a 160GB SSD. There is one caveat worth mentioning. Envy 13 does not come with a built-in optical drive.
