The Pavilion dv6z Select Edition series is a special family of performance laptops. These systems follow along the basic configuration lines of the Pavilion dv6z series except with more premium components. Several things have been upgraded, starting from the overall design casing to major components such as processors and graphics controllers.
Pavilion dv6z Select Edition notebooks have an aluminum metal finish. This provides both a stylish expensive look and a protective enclosure for the system. The physical appearance is further highlighted by an optional backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader. All these attributes help give Pavilion dv6z Select Edition notebooks a quality look and feel. Performance improves over the Pavilion dv6z series models. While still using AMD solutions, the Pavilion dv6z Select Edition models use performance quad-core processors. Two variations are available for selection. Shoppers can configure their systems on HP?s website. For those require a little more graphics power than what is provided in the Pavilion dv6z laptops, the Pavilion dv6z Select Edition units are the solution. Optional discrete graphics are available in custom builds. The Pavilion dv6z Select Edition series also makes available touchscreen functionality.
